Now I Know what freedom is. “Break the Chains Within.”

Exhibited at the black history month show at Elithia’s Gallery, this poster was created as part of my art direction course assignment. Through in‑depth research and audience analysis, I explored protest art and developed a detailed mood board to define the visual and conceptual direction.

The final poster uses symbolic imagery, layered textures, and bold contrast to evoke a sense of confinement, while subtle visual cues of light and open space suggest that freedom is within reach. This process reflects a thoughtful art‑direction methodology aimed at delivering a message that resonates widely.
